Can a fashion business be sustainable and have ambition to grow?
As I develop my brand, I keep considering this question.
When I started this new brand, it was so tempting to produce loads of clothing. Manufacturing deals were amazingly cheap and factories were so interested in fabricating my designs.
My vision is for a woman to feel at her best and most confident when she wears a PF garment - both inside and out. That's why I chose natural, sustainable, soft and durable fabrics.
It feels great wearing something soft, but it feels even better when that soft fabric is also environmentally friendly.
Packaging is extremely important. With mass production, packages are mainly cheap and non-compostable.
The idea behind small production is to give each product strict attention to ensure that waste will be minimal. I use compostable wrapping, and a reusable cotton bag when I ship my items. I decided that a quiet mind is worth the price! I make this extra effort because it feels better. Not just on your skin, but in your spirit and mind. Just like YOGA.
